Everything we believe - all the details of our doctrine - spring from knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, and the explanation of life!
The Bible is God's love letter, God's Holy Word, inerrant, infallible preserved for us today. Its truth is eternal and its message is relevant for the church today.
God exists in three distinct persons who are the same in nature but distinctive in functions: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit-Tri-Unity.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, yet he is fallen in his sinfulness.
The eternal Son of God was born of a virgin, literally rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, is undiminished deity, and perfect humanity permanently united in one person. It was through His sacrificial death on the cross that He removed once and for all the barrier of sin between God and man.
Salvation is the unearned gift from God to anyone who will receive in dependence the provision that Christ's death, burial, and resurrection is the sufficient and necessary requirement for eternal life.
The Holy Spirit is a person who permanently indwells every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides every believer with gifts for service and with the fullness of God's power to make him adequate for living. As a person acts in dependence upon the Spirit, he will progressively grow into maturity.
The church is an assembly of believers who voluntarily join themselves together to carry out the great command found in Acts 1:8.
Ordinances are to be observed commemorating Christ's works for the church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is practiced by individuals as a symbolic expression of personal identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord's Supper is practiced corporately as a symbolic reminder of His provision for salvation for the church.
We believe in the pre-millenial pre-tribulation rapture of Jesus Christ. We believe Christ will rapture the church before the tribulation and will return with those who are saved for the final battle after the tribulation.
Everything at Our Church is geared around our mission to "prepare people to meet the Lord." It is our desire to carry out the Great Command and the focus of every ministry is to see souls saved and lives changed.
The Pastor of our church leads by example. He sets the vision and spiritual tone of the church.
A God-ordained office. The Deacons help the pastor in decisions he must make concerning the ministry.
Our Church offers a variety of opportunities for its members to get involved in service and church life from lay leaders to volunteers.
If you will receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and follow Him in baptism by immersion, we welcome you into the fellowship.
As a Baptist whose current membership is elsewhere, should God direct you here, we will be pleased to welcome you into our church family. We will happily take care of the appropriate details of transferring your membership.
In the event that church records are not available for transfer of membership, or if you are presently a member of another denomination, we will accept you upon your statement of faith.
